Ban the SUV

This Artical was copied in its entirety from Slate Magazine on-line. California's SUV Ban The Golden State has outlawed big SUVs on many of its roads but doesn't seem to know it. By Andy Bowers Posted Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, at 11:42 AM PT Unless you drive one of the largest SUVs, such as the Chevy Suburban, the Cadillac Escalade, or the Ford Excursion, I'll bet you've watched them thundering down quiet residential lanes and wondered to yourself: Why is that monster allowed on this little street? Well, here's a surprising piece of news. It may not be. Cities throughout California—the nation's largest car market—prohibit the heaviest SUVs on many of their residential roads. I asked one of the guys what all the fuss was; come to find out Mary Kay was in the building registering as a sex offender. I hung out for a while to see if I could snap a pic on my picture phone, but she was taking her sweet time and I had to go. I'm sure I'll catch her on the news. This makes it difficult to blog....

MSNBC - Letourneau gets out of prison

Yesterday at coffee, some friends and I were talking about Mary Kay, and then we started talking about teachers we had crushes on. I remembered one of my teachers, Miss Gross. She was anything but gross, she was fine. Why couldn't she have been Mary Kay to my Villi? Its funny because there is something of a double standard, still, in the way we think about Mary Kay. Most guys have a difficult time thinking of what she did as a crime. Most guys think Villi was a lucky bastard.
