Sinking In

So, last Thursday an Friday were wierd, but it still had not sunk in that I was unemployed. Those days just felt like vacation days or something. But it really started to sink in that it was more than just a couple of days when I realized last night that there was no reason to set my alarm for today.

First Few Days of Unemployment

Well, Thursday was wierd, just hanging out playing x-box and watching T.V. On Friday I had to go downtown so I stopped by Monorail Espresso and hung out with my friends. Everyone commented on how strange it was to se me in street clothes, as opposed to my biking gear. I think that is one thing I will enjoy about not riding for work anymore: that is, not having to wear 'gear' anymore. I was never one of those guys who rode around all winter long in cotton, just to look punk-rock. But now I get to wear regular clothes. Jessica and I are moving this month so being unemployed is actually good 'cause I can do a lot of the moving a day at a time, and I won't get bored. But I think next month may be a different story. We're moving north to the Lake City area and this will be the first time in 13 years I will be living out of the city. I'm a little nervous about living so far out of the city because I think I'll feel cut-off. But I can ride to Greenlake and the U Di
