Nancy Pelosi hearts President Bush

What the fuck is up with Nancy Pelosi and her determination to NOT impeach the President? Evidently she doesn't understand that folks who vote Democrat this mid-term are expecting both a short-term and long-term return on the investment that is their vote. One of those short-term returns Democratic voters are looking for is that investigations be opened and that president Bush be impeached immediately. But just when we're about to get subpeona power, just when we're finally in a position to expose Bush's lies to the country, Pelosi comes along and gives Bush a pass! Who the fuck does she think she is?! I think I can speak for many Democrats when I say that what we want is for this President, who has gone to such great lengths to gut the Constitution, has gone so far to lie to the American people, to be publicly SMACKED DOWN! We want it said to Bush and to anyone else in the future who wants to govern by fear and lies and intimidation, that "You can't do that. Not now, and not in the future."

Bush's fascist brand of politics is a cancer on this nation that needs to be eradicated publicly and with as much humiliation as we can heap upon him.

Friends don't let friends vote for Bush

I have a friend who, I’m very nearly certain, voted for Bush. He told me as recently as a week prior to the election that he was considering voting for Bush because of the terrorism issue. I’m thinking very seriously about cutting him off as a friend. You see, the problem isn’t necessarily that he voted for Bush, it’s that I no longer respect him for coming to that decision. Having succumbed to America’s jingoistic view of Muslims I now think that perhaps my friend doesn’t have the intellectual agility I originally credited to him. Is there any one else out there who feels betrayed by a friend who voted for Bush? I’m interested in reader’s opinions on the matter so please post a comment.

Away Too Long

I know...I know, its been far too long since my last post. But I'm here now and I'll catch you up on everything. So, since getting laid-off, I have been thinking about going back to school. The thing is, I've been thinking about going back for 10 years, but the thought of it always filled me with terror because I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do. Well, I decided to go to Seattle Central and get a certificate in computer networking. My thinking is this: get certified in something that leads to working smart instead of hard. Then, that job can take me back to school for something I really want to do. So anyway, there is a program through Unemployment Insurance called the Commissioner Approved Training Plan that allows one to go to school while still recieving one's unemployment benefits, without having to do the weekly job searches. The program doesn't pay for school, it just allows one to go to school and not have to work. Sounds like a great program, huh?...

How Boring

OK, so I decided that I wasn't going to write anything political, that I was just gonna write about personal stuff. And I haven't written a thing in two weeks. How boring is my life? But I've got some stuff coming.....
